Where are the traffic cops?

Please Mr Deputy Commissioner in charge of traffic, we don’t need a policeman there every day, once or twice per week at random will solve the problem. I understand some uncouth idiot beat up on someone’s car recently because the person refused to allow him to cut in from the shoulder. Maybe the police will act when some irate driver pulls a gun and shoots one of these unmannerly louts. Strange that if you are in a line at the bank, cinema etc, and you try to cut into the line you will be soundly abused but there is no problem allowing someone to cut in from the shoulder into a line of traffic.
