Call for support for CAC Games students
And yesterday although more students benefitted from similar sponsorships by corporate Trinidad and Tobago, marketing manager of L&M Promotion Cheryl Ryan-Mohammed is urging other companies to come on board and pledge their assistance to a child in the “Run It To Win It Programme.”
The “Run It To Win Programme” is one that will allow students at schools across Trinidad and Tobago to win a ticket for the forthcoming CAC Games, scheduled for July 14-16 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, by just participating in sporting activities at their respective schools.
The students must participate in races at different distances with the winners getting the opportunity of a ticket to the CAC Games which is expected to be the biggest ever athletic championship to be staged at the recently upgraded stadium.
The programme started in the sister-isle where the nine secondary schools were visited and the programme introduced.
Among schools visited were Mason Hall Government Secondary School and Goodwood High. The programme was also held at Toco Composite, Arima Senior Comprehensive, Holy Cross College, St Augustine Girls High School, Trinity College and Holy Name Convent (Point Fortin) recently.
According to Ryan-Mohammed visits were also made to St Mary’s College, Fatima College, St James Secondary, Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive and South East Port-of-Spain yesterday.
And she said more schools will be visited today and tomorrow.
Ryan-Mohammed pointed out that the schools in Trinidad visited received contributions from a number of companies including the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago, the Tobago House of Assembly, TTEC, SM Jaleel, Petrotrin and Atlantic LNG.
