Keep the spirit alive
First of all, let me applaud our Soca Warriors for their brilliant, fantastic and exciting match against England. From the first whistle, our team proudly represented our country as they played with confidence, strategy, a great defence and a true warrior spirit, that kept the English fans anxious, tense and even fearful. Our team would have had at least two sure goals if it wasn’t for their goalie Robinson and their “right time — right placed” defenders.
Personally, I believe we played much better than our former colonial masters and we deserved to win.
However by two lucky goals, it was not to be. Led by our world famous captain Yorke, our Warriors held England to a tight game for a well played eighty minutes or more. It was a truly tremendous team effort. With all odds against us, we definitely accounted for our great talent on the field against the English power house.
As an enthusiastic Soca Warriors fan, I urge all to continue supporting our team and never give up the dream.
