TV station betrays cricket-loving fans
How could the West Indies Cricket Board, which purportedly seeks to promote cricket, sell their TV rights to a station which has absolutely no intention of showing any live cricket to Trinidad and Tobago viewers? TV 6 has betrayed cricket-loving citizens, who wish to have a choice of which sport —cricket or World Cup football — to watch. I am asking the West Indies Cricket Board to state publicly whether they were aware that TV 6 had no intention to show the cricket when they “Hogged” the TV Rights?
Surely the board has a duty to ensure that the purchasers of the rights show the cricket live, and do not buy the rights for the sole purpose of denying others the right to show it. Can we have further comment on this travesty?
