Life after football

In particular, we at Pasha Hour International and Read the Qur’an Campaign Committee extend to you, the people and government of Trinidad and Tobago, FIFA and Jack Warner, and everyone else, our warmest greetings, even as we struggle to take the Qur’an to every home and heart that needs it.

We also wish to take this opportunity to remind you, and remind all of us, that we must all believe in Life-After-Football.

And now that football is over, all of you and all of us must rededicate ourselves to the bigger and more important “goal” of making Trinidad and Tobago a better place to live for all of us: economically, politically, socially, environmentally, morally and spiritually.

For all of us, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Black, White, Indian, other.

Warriors, you may not have scored any goals in Germany. But by your sheer grit, determination, tenacity, dedication and superb performance, you came out as heroes in the eyes of all of us.

We now ask you and ask all of us to shoot for “higher goals” in this Life-After-Football that is upon us.

We remind you that it is now time for all of us to redouble our efforts to reduce rape, kidnapping, murder, robbery, child abuse, discrimination, domestic violence, air pollution, water pollution, corruption, deforestation and irresponsible driving on the nation’s roads; to increase equality, opportunity, social justice, peace, mutual respect and cooperation at all levels; and to enhance accountability and strengthen the rule of law throughout our society. Well done, Warriors!
