Main witness fails to show

Lead prosecutor Israel Khan SC informed the court that the whereabouts of the witness were unknown. He could not say if the witness was in or out of Trinidad.

Khan said he did not see the security detail, so he could not explain the whereabouts of the witness. As a result, the inquiry was adjourned to July 10. Just one witness gave evidence yesterday. PC Curtis Howard, of the Homicide Bureau testified. He was not cross-examined.

Doreen Alexander-Durity, Anderson Straker, Corporal Ricardo Stevenson, Kevon Nixon and brothers Wayne and Kenneth Pierre are charged with Maharaj’s murder.
