Male models shine

The six finalists wore long kurta’s and complementing silk pants as they paraded before the judges. At the end, Shiva Sookraj took the title of Mr India TnT and will represent the country in the Mr India International competition in the US in October.

In the other top positions were Kevin Ramsawaksingh who placed second, and Lennie Geesiawan, third. Martin Davis Sahadath, Ackeem Mohammed and Sohan Badal also participated in the competition. Shiva who is from Orange Valley, Couva, is a computer expert. He has an interest in custom brokerage and hopes to open his own business in this field. He enjoys cricket, football, running and acting and is involved with the Presbyterian church youth group and takes God in everything he does.

Ramsawaksingh of Jenvy Lane, Couva, is employed part-time with a private contractor. He is also a former cricketer from the Exchange Village and Clico Preysal Cricket clubs. This ambitious young man’s goal is to achieve a Bachelor of Sciences degree and diploma in navigation and engineering. He completed his second computer literacy course with the National Energy Skills Centre (NESC) and will be attending University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) soon. Kevin describes himself as calm, understanding and caring. Martin Davis Sahadath of Par Alley Trace, Barrackpore, is pursuing Advance Level subjects at Siparia Senior Comprehensive School. He is the head male prefect, president of the student council and also a member of the student development programme. He is pursuing Caribbean studies, Communications, History and Sociology.

Ackeem Angelo Mohammed who is from Preysal, Couva, enjoys art and music. He also loves dancing, singing and playing the keyboard. Ackeem has been dancing since he was seven years old and plans to open his own dance school in the future. He admits that he enjoys dancing since he is able to capture large audiences with his performances. Ackeem describes himself as a smart, patient and hard-working young man.
