2.35 am and no water

As heavy rains fall in the Northern Range, pipe borne water is completely shut off. When WASA is contacted, the recurring answer is de-silting problems. The irony is that Arima has originally been fed by the Hollis Dam, but it has now been relegated to the North Oropouche facility, while the entire East West Corridor has been afforded top class facilities from the Hollis Dam.

What strikes me here is that the present Government administration is upstaging the nation with a huge mamaguy labelled as 20/20 Vision.

Arima is now, and before being saddled with 19/20 vision, which effectively means that we are losing all our facilities.

Anything Arimians want, we have to go outside of our town to get it. Even the commercial and Government sectors do not find it fit to open branches in Arima and you complain about traffic congestion. With all the wealth in TT, do you not think that WASA could upgrade its filtering capacity by purchasing modern equipment.

A substantial number of businesses had to send home their staff because of lack of water, because of heavy rainfall and the Government talks about 20/20 vision.

The Alcoa Smelter, the Red House, the PM’s residence, the President’s Grounds, Tarouba stadium, the interchange, the monorail, Eastmoorings etc can be solved with elections.

We must have a say in the development of our lives. If you have an incompetent worker, you simply fire him. We are so racially divided and party oriented, that we forget the power vested in ourselves.

Government is a business owned and operated by the people, and we must have the option to hire the best managers. Escobar, of Costa Rica lost his life for scoring an own goal, but we (the Government) rewards a player with a million dollars for scoring an own goal.

Beenhakker knew exactly what he did with Latapy, and he gets a million. Want to bet that he is not coming back. “Blind” is not he who does not see, blind is the one who is disinclined to see.
