UNC is party of problems

And if Mr Panday and Mr Robinson could have compromised their differences and he, Mr Robinson sided to allow Mr Panday to form the Government, and if society can give prominence and acceptance to a group that was once charged with treason, then no one can convince me why Mr Lawrence Maharaj should not be accepted back into the UNC.

Every opposition party formed in this country is opposed to the PNM, not to each other, and none of them singularly can defeat the PNM. Nor can Mr Dookeran, Mr Yetming, Mr Maharaj or Mrs Persad-Bissessar individually do so. It is indeed tragic that politics decide everything about each one of us in this country. The PNM is definitely suspect in delivering on its claim to bettering the country and citizens must try to understand the statement made by Mr Yetming at the launch of his political party, that the DNA is fashioned to Mr Dookeran’s likeness, while he, Mr Dookeran insists that he is the leader of the UNC. So we are caught between a rock and a hard place.

A fish market no longer has the confusion that the UNC currently has and there is more uniformity at any barra stall in Debe. The UNC must recognise that it has become part of the problem that exist in the country today.

Nevertheless, after the World Cup football and the continuing demise of the West Indies cricket we need something to amuse us, so may I suggest to oppose the PNM, I would like to see a platform consisting of Mr Dookeran, Mr Maharaj, Mr Wade Mark, Mr Ramnath, Mr Baksh, Mrs Persad Bissessar, Mr Moonilal, Jack Warner and Mervyn Assam.
