Boasting that WIN TV will have a heavy local programme content, manager, Sunil Ramdeen, said New York-based businessman and promoter, Mohan Jaikaran, is the principal player behind the Chaguanas-based television station.

Ramdeen said on Friday they will also sign an agreement with Tempo, the new MTV-Caribbean channel, and launch WIN TV-India and WIN TV-New York.

“We are trying to be as truly national as possible. We want our programming to reflect all interest groups and segments of the population. And because of strategic alliances with North America and India, we will have opportunities to showcase local culture,” Ramdeen said.
