Businesswoman, daughter robbed and beaten

Police reports revealed that around 9.10 pm, Romella Mohammed, 54, and her daughter Nalini Moahmmed, 33, of Esmeralda Gardens, Cunupia, were at home around 9.10 pm, when two masked men entered the house and ordered them to a room.

The two women were beaten and ordered to open a safe containing over $150,000 in jewelry and a quantity of cash.

The men then fled the scene.

Sgt Bedessie of the Cunupia Police Station is investigating.
