Cable TV nonsense

Unfortunately however, none of these promises has materialised and some of the better programmes have been eliminated while others are blanked and there are still others on which no programme is available.

Worse yet, are the periods during which there is no programming at all. On July 6, I turned on my TV at 5.45 am and all I could get was a notice that read “Waiting”, “Home terminal receiving Data,” “Please wait.”

After waiting for about half an hour I gave up in disgust and went about my business doing other things around the house.

It was not until 7.30 am that my TV screen turned green and I was invited to select my channels.

While on the subject of television viewing, I have noted on many occasions that some of our local advertisements using local characters frequently portray the part of a moron while attempting to get the message across to the viewers.

This leads me to conclude that the producers of these advertisements perceive the viewing public to be generally a composition of morons as well.
