Maracas Rotary installs president

Clarke made this appeal in his maiden speech at the installation ceremony at Valpark Chinese Restaurant recently. He said members should remember that the club is a voluntary organisation and as such depends on members who are experts in their field to come forward and lend their support.

He said all Rotarians should rise to the occasion as the new year unfolds and go boldly into the fun-filled projects which he assured will bring enjoyment.

Other members elected to serve for the period 2006-2007 are, Dr H Narinesingh, vice president; A Kassim, secretary; Chevy Harrison, treasurer and past president D Rattan, serjeant-at-arms. Guests in attendance included Judge Larry Lalla, Dr Cyril Paltoo DMO, Carl Wilhelm Stenhammar, Rotary International president, Dusta Barrow District Governor and other Rotarians from the Caribbean Region.
