Miss Grenada visits TT
Moses, 17, the second of three children, is currently pursuing a degree in Social Sciences at St Georges University in Grenada. Both her mother and older sister also modelled when they were younger and so she was inspired to follow in their footsteps.
At 12, Renee entered the Miss Grenada Teen pageant and won the title. A few years later, Deron Attzs of Simpli Smooth Productions selected her to model his line of clothing in a fashion show for Easter weekend in Grenada.
Renee’s mother was so impressed by the coaching Attzs gave her that, when Renee was asked to represent Grenada in the pageant, her mother agreed on the condition that Attzs trains her.
She will be here in TT for three weeks to train and work with Attzs - making appearances and hitting the gym. After, she will return to Grenada for one week and then on to the pageant.
Formerly Miss Teen Caribbean, the Miss Teen Universe pageant is scheduled to take place in Antigua on August 27. Simpli Smooth Productions will be screening local female models with a talent between the ages of 15 to 19 to represent TT in this pageant. The screening will take place on Saturday from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Pauria Suite/Edge in San Fernando.
The company will also be screening for male models, ages 17 to 35, on the same day, at that venue, for “Mr San Fernando TT”. The competition was scheduled for July 16 but has been postponed until further notice. The winner will go on to represent TT in the “Caribbean Man Hunt 2006” in Jamaica. All models must be on time.
