Joseph on drive to empower Caribbean youth

Chairman of the foundation Corey Joseph, host of the Youth Empowerment Hour on Radio 730 AM, said its aim is to motivate youths through “godly principles and integrity.”

He said one of the foundation’s message is that “youth can achieve destiny and purpose regardless of their circumstances.”

The foundation will work with youth groups in TT and Caribbean, community organisations and corporate companies to undertake seminars and workshops on dream building which will focus on “how to bring out the purpose in you and utilise God’s given gifts in your life,” Joseph said.

He plans to use books, CDs, tapes, magazines, newsletters and DVDs to motivate the youth.

The foundation will also assist local community groups and organisations to train youth leaders in effective communication skills and mentoring.

According to Joseph visits will be made to communities to motivate youth through workshops and seminars which will focus on using business as a means to be the head and not the tail.

He also plans to show youth how to activate Christian faith in the unseen success of life and how to speak positively over their lives. This will be done through outreach missionary programmes. Joseph also appealed to skilled persons who share the godly vision and have a heart for youth to join the foundation. Youth mentors and international speakers are already on board to assist the foundation.

Assistance to youth throughout the Caribbean region is currently taking place through the missionary group “Is there not a cause?” headed by Avonelle Hector-Joseph.

The launch begins at 6.30 pm at 5A Lazare Street, St James, and will include worship session, vision sharing and interaction among youths as well as performances from special guest artistes.
