Sinanan also rejected the request of Opposition Chief Whip and former Health Minister Hamza Rafeeq to debate the security situation at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope in the wake of the murder of an employee on Thursday.

Both requests were made at yesterday’s sitting of the House of Representatives.

The House is expected to be adjourned to a date to be fixed and it is anticipated that Parliament is to be prorogued next week.
