Woman on Mt Hope murder charge

Leandra Clarke of Tenth Street arrived at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court at about 2.55 pm after she was formally charged with Gibson’s murder. But no magistrate was available, so Clarke appeared before the JP and was remanded to appear before Chief Magistrate Sherman Mc Nicolls this morning.

Clarke was charged by Corporal Thalia Megan-Francis of the Homicide Bureau. Gibson was stabbed to death in the ladies toilet at the hospital as she responded to a call that someone wanted to commit suicide.
