Let’s hear MATT on Maha Sabha issue

I would also love to hear from MATT on the issue because it affects press freedom. Finally I would love to hear what the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute has to say.

I strongly suspect that we will hear nothing from these supposedly independent bodies and therein resides the gross malfunction with our democracy. I have long come to the conclusion that ours is a society of mass hypocrisy under pinned pseudo-intellectuals and wanna-be elitists.

Living in their candy cane worlds of air-conditioned cars and homes, trips to Miami and cocktail parties, they have assumed the title of the self righteous among us. They have convinced themselves that they and they alone have a monopoly on integrity, morals and virtue.

Hats off to Sat Maharaj, Fenton Ramsahoye, Anand Ramlogan and the Maha Sabha. At least we have some testicular fortitude left in TT.

The problem with TT is that there may well be very few men left to stand up against what is now a sprinting dictator.
