Champs Northern crush Harvard 41-0

Rainbow edged Police 22-10 in another Championship Division clash while Caribs mauled Defence Force 89-5.

In the Senior Division, the Youth Training Centre (YTC) earned a default victory over Northern.

Action resumed yesterday in the Championship Division with three matches— Northern faced the University of the West Indies (UWI) at St Ann’s, Royalians met Caribs at Savannah II while Rainbow squared off against Defence Force at Savannah I.

Today, Caribs will oppose Rainbow at Savannah I from 4.30 pm.

South b/ball screening

YOUNG basketballers are invited to participate in screening sessions, organised by the South Zone of the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago. The session, scheduled for 1 pm on July 29 at the Southern Regional Sports Arena, Pleasantville, will be used to select players for the national Under-16 team.

The eligibility to participate is a birthdate of January 1, 1990 or after.

Ian “Sarge” Demming, Hayden Belgrove and Barry Jackson will be the coaches conducting the day’s session.

Fulham Sports meeting

FULHAM SPORTS Club will be hosting their monthly meeting at the Arima Town Hall, Sorzano Street, Arima today.

The meeting will get going from 10 am.

The club, now observing its golden anniversary, will include nominations for the election of officers next month.

Among the items to be discussed at the meeting will be the club’s fund-raising ventures, which includes a visit to Matura.
