NFM boss is new Arima Mayor

Mayor Cabralis in his maiden speech promised to put systems in place to solicit, interpret and address the needs of the burgesses in a way that would advance their interests. He added that his councillors and himself will continuously seek innovative ways to address the plight of those more unfortunate than themselves, while at the same time doing all in their power to promote greater all round prosperity in the borough.

“Fellow burgesses of Arima, I dream of a town fashioned in such a way, as to allow the enjoyment of all burgesses, including the aged and infirmed, the physically and specially challenged, the new mother and child, infants and school children.”

Cabralis, said he yearned for the day when people can walk through the town safely at their leisure, window shopping if they choose and generally enjoying the outdoors without having to be concerned about safety and security. He also wish to see the town of Arima where the environment is conducive to the development of spiritual, cultural and ethical values and a sense of morality, and decency where respect prevails.
