Man drowns at Los Iros

Reynold Hosein, 46, of Phillipine Road, Palmiste, went under the surface of the water while swimming around midday and his body was seen afloat almost two hours later.

Hosein, police reports said, went with his friends to purchase fish at Los Iros and the group was liming and drinking alcohol.

An autopsy conducted at the San Fernando mortuary concluded that Hosein succumbed to asphyxia as a result of drowning.

Erin police are continuing investigations.
