Shot man dies 3 weeks after robbery

Chatoor was warded since July 7, but died Wednesday morning. Buglars had attacked and robbed him at his Jordon Hill, Princes Town home. Members of Chatoor’s family operate a burger cart business at Cross Crossing in San Fernando.

According to reports, around 9 pm on July 7, Chatoor secured his home and retired to bed only to be awakened sometime later by a loud noise. On checking, he was reportedly confronted by two men. The report stated the men robbed Chatoor of jewelry and a stereo system together valued at $9,000.

One of the bandits then fired a shot at Chatoor, hitting the elderly man in the chest.

Police investigations led to the arrest of two men who were subsequently charged with burglary and possession of arms and ammunition.
