Building life with the scouts

He told the gathering at the Gilbert Park Club, California, that “there is no better place for character building than to belong to the scouting fraternity and I wish to extend heartiest congratulations to you for your initiative in staying in scouting for so many years.”

Bradshaw who has worked his way up to be the National Scout Commissioner, said he was proud to be in the movement for more than three decades during which time he had the opportunity to evaluate the organisation “and what it has been able to achieve as far as young people are concerned.”

He added, “if you belong to a scout group at any point in your life, your vision for a meaningful life style is fully developed and your mission for community involvement always reach the top rung of the social ladder,” he added. Officers elected for the next term are – Desmond Baxter, president, Bissoondaye Ramsingh, vice president; Cleophus Marcelle, chairman; Clyde Joseph , vice chairman; Linda Charles, Secretary; Kenrick Balchan, Assistant secretary; and Harold Bertrand, Treasurer. Committee members are - J Mc Lean, A Robertson, W Jeffries, and John Reece. District Scout Commissioner is John Nathaniel.
