Efficient work by Arouca police

I recently had the ill fortune of having my car stolen in the designated parking area at the Trincity Industrial Estate. With the help of the store personnel I immediately contacted the Arouca Police station. I visited the Police station in person and lodged a report. An APB was immediately issued and officers went to work.

The approach to handling the matter was done in a very professional manner, I was made to feel comfortable and officers kept their promise to keep me abreast of the status of the investigations.

Within four days I received a telephone call that my car was recovered, albeit in a stage of some disrepair.

The officers facilitated all the other necessary procedures before the car could be returned on the road-forensic testing etc, all of this done in a relatively short period.

I wish to publicly thank Corporal Baptiste and his team from the Arouca Police Station and Corporal Deonarine and his team from the Recoveries Unit in Port-of-Spain for the high level of professionalism displayed.

I urge them and other officers to continue to maintain their high standards of performance for the benefit of society as a whole.
