Republic junior golf clinic in Tobago

Over the next eight day period, 18 junior and intermediate golfers aged 5-17 will take part in training sessions in putting, short game, classroom, driving range and golf course training. These training sessions will aim to help the youngsters develop their golfing skills, give them a sense of confidence and accomplishment, introduce the opportunity for them to learn and to foster an interest in golf.

The programme has helped to foster the skills of some successful golfers such as Kerville Cowie and Mikail Roberts who are past participants of the programme and recently represented the twin islands in the Caribbean Junior Golf Championships in Puerto Rico.

Republic Bank sponsors the Leeward Golf Clinics as part of their Power to Make a Difference commitment to youth development through sport. The Bank encourages all the young golfers to learn all they can in the Clinics and wishes them the best of luck in the final tournament.
