Straight Drive gallops into contention

Trainers seem to have a line on their charges for tomorrow’s Carib “Friday Lime” programme and only kept their runners on the move.

Easily the best gallop of the morning was produced by Straight Drive who holds the engagement in the Intense II race for West Indies bred three-year-old maidens over 1350 metres.

The quick-stepping gelded son of Java In Flight Indian Takeover hustled through a 600 metres gallop in a good 38.1 seconds on a track described as fast.

Stravinskys Secret who is also from the Maniram “Boboy” Mahaaraj barn, had a handy spin over 1000 metres clocked in one minute 08.3 seconds and should be considered in the feature Mr Solo II Restricted Handicap over 1100 metres on the turf course.
