Republic Youth Cup finals at Savannah

Ongoing repair work to the main field at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo has forced the event managers, All Sport Promotions to use their traditional home base on the Savannah for this year’s finals, which will start at 9.30 am. The finals will feature the top 12 qualifiers in three boys age groups — Under-12, Under-15 and Under-17, while there will be eight teams in the girls’ division. Now in its 11th season, the Republic Youth Cup has again attracted more than 200 teams. This year, 214 teams played in the six preliminary zones.

Tobago is well represented, with the St Clair Coaching School dominating the boys competitions, while Stokely Vale FC qualified among the girls.

TTFF president Oliver Camps will officially declare today’s finals open.
