Mandir gets new murtis
All seven murtis were made by Prabhu Ramlagan Sawh of Rousillac. They were taken to Tabaquite from Rousillac by a motorcade procession which stopped at the Nariva Road Junction, Tabaquite. The devotees then walked from that point to the temple which is situated at the end of Carry Road, Tabaquite.
The Hanuman and Saraswati murtis were donated by Seeraj Popal also known as “Ras” from Caparo, along with his friends Gowrie Persad Singh, Harryman (Dapo) Haskaran and Kaisha Lutchman.
The Krishna Murti was donated by Tahkoor Sookdial of Miami, while the Shiv Shakti murti was donated by Harrynarine Ragoonanan and family.
The other murtis were bought with the donations that the temple received.
Officiating at the installation was pundit Vishnu Ramsumair, who was later joined by Pundit Laximidath Persad.
Ramsumair told the devotees “although some people may say that we don’t need the murtis, we do. This helps us to identify with God and helps us to focus our minds.”
