Music lovers flock to Arima for pan competition

Pan lovers chipped to the music and sang lustily as the panmen belted out various popular tunes.

The police and army were out in full force to maintain law and order.

Several persons were searched for arms, ammunition and drugs.

Newsday reporter Ralph Banwarie was verbally threatened by a police officer dressed in dark clothing while photographing the police searching a young man.

Banwarie reported the matter to the Arima Police.
