2 couples robbed

The first couple got attacked at about 10.15 pm, after they got into a black vehicle, operating as a taxi at Library Corner, San Fernando, and asked to be taken to Marabella. The couple told police they sat in the back seat. There were two other people in the car. As the driver proceeded along Southern Main Road to Marabella, he turned off into Union Park east in the direction of the stadium. The other two people held up the couple at gunpoint, and stole their cash and jewelry before kicking the man out. The driver and the two accomplices drove off with the woman. She was later dropped off in Marabella, and police report she was gang-raped. The second robbery occurred at about 10.50 pm, when a couple, parked in a white Nissan Almera at Union Road, were approached by three gunmen. The gunmen forced themselves into the car and drove the couple to the stadium, stole their cash and jewelry and put them out. The gunmen then drove off with the couple’s $40,000 car.
