Go for Fresh Wings in today’s feature
The in-form Mucho Tempo, Uram who never seems to run a bad race, Privilege, Lekh Raj and Fresh Wings all hold the engagement over 1750 metres.
But the one most money should be on as the winner should be Fresh Wings with the lightweight of 49.5 kilos. This freshly Squeezed/Noble Form offspring is a vastly underrated sort, despite winning five of his last seven races including handing Mucho Tempo a six-length beating at level weights over 1300 metres last outing. On this occasion, Fresh Wings will be receiving one kilo from Mucho Tempo while racing over a distance of 450 metres more. Privilege and Uram pose the biggest dangers to the leading pair, while the chances of Lekh Raj must be respected.
Indian Izzi looks the one to beat in the 1300 metres Restricted Handicap, despite his tendency to bear out at the final corner. He has been very lively at gallops, but Kato and Island Runner, both winners last time out and Second Chances are the dangers.
Topweight Lit d’Amour must not be discounted here and Gray Warrior with the penny-stamp 47.5 kilos could figure in the finish.
Local turfites will welcome another Venezuelan rider to our track at Santa Rosa Park in Jose Quintero. According to champion trainer (winners) John O’Brien for whom Quintero will ride, he is a 20-year-old who goes to scale at 49 kilos.
