Poor lighting on Bus Route

Minister Imbert sir, please tell us stupid people your government’s policy on the lighting of the PBR. You see, some of us actually recall when $100 million was allocated by Cabinet for the lighting up of this route about two and a half years ago. Since then, the area between Olton and Omera Roads were well lit. Was that as far as the $100 million reached? And if so, where did TTEC get money to light up all other areas of the countryside? How come there are four streetlights on some poles and a couple hundred feet away the area is in darkness? (Check out Curepe/St Augustine).

By now the nation is well aware of the passing the buck routine where your ministry will claim that lighting up falls under another ministry, namely, Public Utilities. This, however, is not about ministries nor personalities. It’s about getting the job done.

Perhaps it is high time that your boss, Our Father, sees fit to re-examine the workings of the respective ministries and put them together based on their portfolio, like Planning and Works. Furthermore, it’s high time that Works be separated from Transportation, won’t you think?

One other quick point: Don’t you think that it’s high time we rid ourselves of the “Government Approved Pot Holes” that drivers are forced to manoeuvre around on a daily basis? What are the GAPH? They are the ones with the white circles/squares around them, which can be found in abundance around the QPS and along other major roads of this pitch-rich nation.
