Bandits crash stolen car
According to police reports, the car — a grey Nissan B-14 Sentra — was found abandoned by Ste Madeleine policemen on mobile patrol along Daisely Road, Cocoyea, at 10 pm. There were no occupants in the car, which was damaged at the front end. Minutes later, a 25-year-old man reported to police that a vehicle fitting the description of the crashed car had been stolen. Rickey Sinanan told police that he had parked his grey B-14 Sentra in his yard at 9.15 pm and was about to close the gate to his home when he was held up at gunpoint by two masked men.
The masked bandits, Sinanan told police, drove off with the vehicle valued at $45,000.
Police suspect that in the bandits’ haste to get away with the stolen vehicle they lost control and crashed.
Ste Madeleine police are continuing investigations.
