PM to open Eddie Hart football

Formal opening of the 40th edition of the league’s season is timed for Sunday at the Eddie Hart Savannah, Tacarigua from 2.30 pm.

According to the league secretary Joel Warrick, the programme will start with a parade of participating teams.

This is to be followed by a parade of Carnival characters and later by the Soca Warriors dance which was performed by the Trinidad and Tobago cultural contingent at this year’s World Cup Germany 2006.

And to culminate the evening, there will be steelband performances by Phase II Pan Groove, Sagicor Exodus, Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars and the Laventille Rhythm Section.
