Suspect held in Morvant murder

Homicide Bureau detectives are leading the probe into the slaying of 26-year-old Bruce. Residents of Hirondelle Street in Morvant told police that several loud explosions were heard at 1.30 am, last week Monday.

A short while later, Bruce’s body was found in a pool of blood near a building in the area. Police said they have no clear-cut motive for the killing, but they believe it may be a revenge killing since it took place after Bruce was released from prison.

Investigations are continuing.
