Leah wins tickets for b2 concert

Richards was in her mother’s car in Scarborough at the time and made her mom head directly to the radio station to claim her prize.

“I was thinking that, normally, stuff like this doesn’t happen to me,” she recalled.

During the two-week Tobago promotion, Radio Tambrin listeners were asked to call in and to repeat an “access phrase” to get a chance to win great prizes from b2 concert sponsor, bmobile.

As part of her grand prize, Richards and three guests will be flown to Trinidad for the b2 concert at which Grammy winner John Legend and R&B sensation Rihanna are the headline acts.

The prize also includes accommodation at Hilton Trinidad, four VIP tickets to the concert, spending money and ground transfers. In addition, Richards received a Nokia handset and bmobile gear and apparel.

Over 70 other Tobago callers also won prizes during the promotion, including general admission tickets for b2, mobile handsets, bmobile gear and music CDs from Rihanna - who has a sponsorship agreement with bmobile.

Richards admitted to being intrigued by Rihanna’s voice and look, as well as Legend’s simultaneous piano playing and singing. The Form Four student said she has seen performances by Rihanna and Legend regularly on cable station BET and was thrilled to get the chance from bmobile to see the stars live.The concert takes place at Pier 2, Chaguaramas, and local acts include Kees the Band and Surge.
