Clico celebrates independence

The party marked CLICO’s 70th anniversary as a driving force in Trinidad and Tobago’s insurance industry. The fireworks was part of the country’s 44th anniversary celebrations.

Comedienne Deborah Maillard, who hosted the concert captivated the crowd with humorous jokes which sent them into uncontrollable laughter.

The stage lit up when Dil-E-Nadan lead vocalist Raymond Ramnarine sang his rendition of Shurwayne Winchester’s “Don’t stop” which sent the ladies wild. Old mas and Moko Jumbies served as eye candy between acts.

Malick Folk Performers later took to the stage clad in the national colours and performing the limbo, Denyse Plummer, Michelle Sylvester and 3 Canal provided soca and rapso music.

Patrons in the VIP area viewed the show from a big screen.

At the end of the performances, patrons chipped along to the sound of sweet steel pan provided by Sforzata Steel Orchestra.
