The result at the WASA Ground in St Joseph meant that the hosts failed in their bid to overtake Police for the top spot, with the lawmen maintaining their two-point lead atop the 10-team standings.

Coincidentially, all three rescheduled matches ended in 1-0 wins for Harvard, Robby’s Engineering Couva Players United and House of Dread respectively.

At the Couva Government Secondary ground, Couva registered their second victory of the season against the sliding Club TSTT, with Silas Spann, brother of national midfielder Silvio, the lone goal-getter in the 80th.

And Michael Waldron’s 38th minute item was enough to give House of Dread full points against Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Arima.
