Grande couple attacked; house burnt

Police believe that the incident was drug-related. According to a police report, around 11 pm Gabby George, 27 and his common-law-wife Astrada Guevera, 25, were asleep at their Wallenvale Road, Guaico Village home when four men burst into their house and began planassing them with cutlasses about their bodies.

The couple, police said, managed to escape their attackers and hid in some bushes where they watched the men douse their house with a substance and ignited it. Sangre Grande CID are investigating.
