TT Film Company goes coast to coast

Carla Foderingham, CEO of the TTFC, hosted the events along with TTFC North American representatives from Diamond Film Locations (DFL). Additionally, the New York event was honoured to have the New York based Consul General for TT, Dr Harold Robertson, in attendance.

TT was introduced to the industry as the premiere Caribbean destination for any production interested in shooting on location. The interactive lunch programme facilitated conversation between the TTFC and these important decision makers and provided attendees information on TT and its eclectic mix of location options, culture and people, details of the competitive cash rebate programme, sound infrastructure, state of the art production facilities and most important, the TTFC’s desire and proactive stance in making the destination a leader in the business.

“We planned these events on both coasts because we wanted to ensure industry insiders think about TT when considering locations for future projects,” said Foderingham.

“Additionally, we wanted input from these decision makers regarding what they look for when deciding where to take their project, how to continue the growth of the industry in Trinidad and Tobago and feedback on our competitive rebate offering.”

Attendees included executives from Warner Bros, MTV, Mark Burnett Productions who produce the popular reality show Survivor, top commercial and music video scouts, production companies and photographers, as well as members of the Association of Location Scouts and Managers (ALSAM) and the Location Managers Guild of America (LMGA).

“The luncheons were a tremendous success evident not only in the details and level of interaction at each event, but in the incredible response we received once guests had returned to their offices,” noted Jody Diamond, President of Diamond Film Locations.
