“The main thing we bring to the table is helping our clients figure out how they will differentiate themselves in the market place,” says Pepper’s boss Dennis Ramdeen. “Once we figure that out, then everything we do with the brand must reflect that, that’s how you build a brand,” Ramdeen said. Ramdeen has honed his own penchant for strategy while working with both national and international brands; KFC, Pizza Hut, Heineken, Panadol, Coca Cola and Stag.
“Once we figure out brand positioning, we then have to develop communications that is compelling and the Pepper team in account service, ideation, copy, graphics, events, social media and traditional media planning all understand this,” says Liliana Ragbir, pepper’s client services director.
Fuelled by a passion to win for their clients, the Pepper team operates in an informal environment that encourages dissenting views. Ragbir said, “We have a pretty flat organisation and we figured out a long time ago that a good idea can come from anyone, not only the boss.”
