Chamber congratulates PM Kamla and Partnership

The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TTCIC) has congratulated Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and the People’s Partnership on their victory at the polls in Monday’s Local Government Elections.

In a release yesterday, the TTCIC said that last Thursday through the Debates Commission they made a “landmark start” by staging its first national debate on Local Government on national television where the public benefitted from a wide range of questions and answers on the subject of local government.

They expressed confidence that as they build on that event, such debates will raise the level of awareness and education for future elections.

They also extended congratulations to the electorate for a virtually incident free turnout and commended all police officers and soldiers who were out on the streets, and at the various polling stations.

The TTCIC said now as the extended campaign from General Election to Local Government Elections is over, they affirm its commitment to working with all the incumbents as they now collectively turn their attention towards the delivery of efficient and cost effective services for the people.
