BLINK Vigilance gets rapid response team
Created in 2009, BLINK Vigilance has become a popular home security solution. Over 5,000 customers have registered for the service includes alarm unit, motion sensors, mobile phone alerts and a 24-hour alarm monitoring service where trained operators assist callers and alert the protective services when necessary.
This new Rapid Response agreement means that in cases of emergencies like home intrusions the operator will alert the security firms, who will send rapid response teams. The estimated wait time is expected to be no longer than 20-25 minutes.
“Simply put, BLINK VIGILANCE Rapid Response is a partnership with private security firms to provide customers with responsive and highly professional assistance for security threats,” explained Dennis Gordon, TSTT’s vice-president of operational risk and security services, speaking at the signing ceremony for the new agreement last Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad.
“Many of you have seen the formidable presence of officers from companies like of MI4 and Allied Security Services as they carry out tasks for their primarily business clients. Imagine how much safer you will feel knowing that these same officers will be on-hand to protect your family and property in the event of a home intrusion,” he said.
The new service will be included in all BLINK Vigilance packages going forward, while existing BLINK Vigilance customers will have the option to purchase the Rapid Response service.
“Crime and home safety are unfortunately real problems in Trinidad and Tobago and this technology is offering a real solution to that problem. We have several testimonials from people who without BLINK Vigilance might have been the victims of vandalism, robbery or worse. That, more than anything else, shows the enormous value of the service,” Gordon said.
