Pianist Brunner breaks record...again

Friends, music students and well wishers sang along to the tune after Brunner announced that at the end of the song, he would smash the record of 103 hours and eight seconds set by Polish pianist, Romuald Koperski, who broke Brunner’s previous record earlier this year.

Recapturing the record is not enough for Brunner who was expected to play until shortly after 11 o’clock last night as he sought to extend the new record to 111 hours, 11 minutes and 11 seconds.

After throwing his hands in the air to celebrate his new world record, Brunner continued his set with a rendition of “Ballad pour Adeline.” “It is unbelievable,” he said of completing the record breaking attempt for the fifth time. He said while he was scared to continue the attempt to reach his target of 111 hours, the support received from members of the public was enough for him to carry on.
