Shurwayne to perform at NAPA Jan 28

In this one night only show, Winchester will get up close and personal with the audience at the concert that will see him exploring the entire gamut of his vocal abilities.

Accompanied by his just as versatile band, YOU, Winchester will not only perform his steaming soca for 2012, but also his past hits and even some pop love songs, reggae, light rock and more that has sent women wild at concerts he’s featured in previously.

The centrepiece of the show being produced by Randy Glasgow Productions will definitely be Winchester’s single, “Wining Addiction,” which is receiving heavy airplay for Carnival 2012. Patrons can expect a very special presentation for this song along with exciting choreography for everything presented on the night.

Winchester, who is from Tobago, began his career competing in the National Junior Calypso Monarch competition. He was later the lead vocalist with the band, Jackie Johnson and Excel before being invited to join the band, Caribbean Traffik Jam in Trinidad.

To date, Winchester has won the National Road March title twice, in 2004 with, “The Band Coming” and 2005 singing, “Open The Gate.” He has also claimed the International Power Soca Monarch and International Groovy Soca Monarch titles, taking both in 2006 with “Ah Cyar Wait” in the Power category and “Don’t Stop” in the Groovy. Winchester also won the Groovy Soca Monarch title in 2008 and 2010.

Winchester began releasing 2012 songs as early as September last year and has enjoyed much success with the singles he put out to date, which includes; “Wine On It,” “Harder,” “Work It” and “Nobody Badder Than We.”

The lineup of guest artistes for this show is as impressive as the headline act and each act is guaranteed to provide maximum pleasure to all the ladies. The supporting artistes include, “Bachannalist,” Kerwin Du Bois, the “Action” man Supa Jigga TC and the rapper dapper 4D soca act, Swappi. There are several surprise artistes that will also take the stage alongside Winchester throughout the night.
