SIS sponsor Central FC

The club, formed in 2012, will wear the company’s name on their jerseys for the forthcoming season, and Brent Sancho, Managing Director of Central FC is delighted with the deal.

“It’s tremendous especially at the current time where corporate TT has not been too forthcoming with finances toward football organisations. It’s a tremendous achievement to have a big company like SIS come on board. SIS have been behind us in the background and been the catalyst for our work in our community. We’ve done a lot of work with their help and the company has decided they want to go a step further and be the shirt sponsor for our Pro League team. We look forward to more for them,” Sancho declared. With several teams recently having to pull out the Pro League due to lack of sponsorship including TTEC, Sancho explained that funding is integral to keeping professional football in this country afloat and relevant.

“Central FC are the only team that does not get government subvention so this sponsorship is critical to the survival of the club. We’re now in our second year and we have not become a casualty. I look at it as a massive step for this club and its future existence,” the ex-Soca Warriors defender continued.

Commenting on their work in the community which attracted the interest of SIS, Sancho said, “We have a lot more community projects and can now look at these ventures with a lot of hope. We have been a club that strive on being an integral part of our community. We’ve started to take budgetary cuts — players and staff — to make sure we can be a powerful force in our community and that’s how we funded a lot of our projects recently,” he revealed.

Ronald Ramlogan, Public Relations Office of SIS, explained how the relationship between his company and Central FC began.

“We’ve been showing how active we are in being involved in our community.

Brent approached us when his team started off (in 2012) and last season we sponsored one of their youth teams. One of the selling points is the amount of community work they do which is unparalleled among Pro League teams. They show that they want to be good on and off the field,” he pointed out.
