Embassy should develop pre-screening process

This third time, on reaching the counter, the CSR proceeds to ask what has changed between now and the last time I applied and when I told him, well, I have the letter and the documents to verify what I was saying before; he turns to me and says, “Oh, it’s not about documentation!

“You could have a letter from Bill Gates in there and it wouldn’t matter.”

Then he goes on further to say that it’s not about letters and third parties, it’s all about you and if you can’t justify that you’re not going to stowaway over there well, woe be on to you.

So if it’s not about documentation then what is it about? Is it a personal feeling?

Is it that this is the way that they make their money?

Because clearly I don’t understand why they are telling me that it is not about documentation, yet if a bank statement is asked for, it must be produced.

I believe I am speaking for all the honest people who were rejected a visa by saying that this is exploitation and they need to develop a system whereby one can pre-screen oneself in order to verify if one qualifies to apply for a visa because constantly getting denied is ridiculous especially if it’s for frivolous reasons like not making enough money, having too much money in your bank account, not having children, not being married, being a flight risk, not having travelled at all and all sorts of nonsense they tell you.

So please, I hope they get their act straight and develop that pre-screening process so people like myself won’t have to go there to hear the nonsense they feed you as to why you are not allowed to go to the land of milk and honey. I believe everyone will feel a lot better to know that they don’t qualify before spending $1,000 plus to get a rejection note and a preposterous explanation and in most cases, no explanation at all.
