Kimberly crowned Miss TT/World

In the end, Kimberly Farah Singh, 21, from Tabaquite was crowned Miss World/TT 2015. She will represent this country at the Miss World 2015 pageant in Sanya, China later this year.

Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism Lincoln Douglas was present to crown the winner. Masters of ceremonies were former Miss Universe Janelle Penny Commissiong and Sham G Ali.

They both described Kimberly as a class act and made mention of her devotion to singing. It was pointed out that Singh enjoys singing in her church and other functions. She is now working toward becoming an attorney.

Not all in the crowd were happy with the result as crowd favourite Daniella Walcott, 24, was adjudged first runner up. She is the sister of two former Miss World TT in Gabriella Walcott (2008) and Magdalene Walcott (2003).

Based in Diego Martin, Walcott was described as an accomplished artist with a passion for arts, beauty and culture. She is also an entrepreneur and a student in Theatre Design and Production majoring in Costume Design and Set Design. She has formal training in singing, playing the piano and dancing.

Vinita Manoo, 24, was crowned second runner up. Vinita is from San Juan. She is a language specialist and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She is employed as a Communications Coordinator.

Coordinator of this event Vanessa Sahatoo-Manoo brought greetings saying all contestants are winners in their own right. Miss World Caribbean Rafieya Husain from Guyana also made an appearance. Ravi Ratiram from the show “Building TT” was also present at the event.
