Motorcyclist killed in accident
“You can master your motorcycle, but you cannot master the road,” said Stewart. “We need to keep our eyes open for the other drivers on the road. On several occasions it is not the biker’s fault that they get injured on the road, it is the other drivers, who may have pulled this way or that, leading to an accident.” Newsday understands Jones, a gardener by trade, was driving along Mausica Road, about a mile away from his home, when he lost control, and fell off the bike. As he fell, he was run over by a truck which was driving behind him. The man sustained injuries to his head and chest and died at the scene.
Speaking with Stewart at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, Newsday was told Jones, had three brothers and two sisters, who arrived on the scene of the accident shortly after it occurred. Stewart said, it was his (Jones’) siblings who explained to him what happened to his friend. “When his family called me and told me that he was dead, I thought it was another biker partner of mine, but when I got to the scene and I saw his body lying there on the road, I could not bear to watch. They told me it was like someone pressed an eject butt
