Music trucks at night in Woodbrook

At first I thought that it was the fault of the service provider, and after waiting a while I went to bed. But on investigation on Sunday morning I saw my cable lying on the street busted from the lampost connection. Coincidentally, it happened seconds after a music truck passed up my street. Yes, music truck at night in August coming up a side street. I have no witnesses nor did I see the truck burst the wire but this is similar to the proverbial “being caught with a smoking gun” don’t you think? It is Monday August 8 in the night and I have missed the CPL final and Olympic coverage. No internet, no wifi but who cares? My connection should be fixed by tomorrow (yesterday) if the Gods smile on me, but one never knows in this country. My fear now is, what is to prevent this from happening again next weekend or next month or whenever there is an occasion. Was permission given for this and by whom? Are these DJs given a decibel rating to work with? Who checks up on this? Should these trucks not be built to a specific height so as to avoid these mishaps? What is really going on in TT my people.Maybe the authorities are waiting for someone to be electrocuted. We have law but no order. No wonder people still drive their cars with the music blasting and nothing happens.
